It provides the classic Martin deep base as well as a healthy range of higher tones. It's magnificent from a finger picking perspective which is how I play 90 percent of the time. The strings combine to provide a melody of concert quality sound and even a less experienced guitar player can sound great on this one! I would highly recommned this guitar to both the experienced musician and to the the entry level person who's looking to step up.
